Property Maintenance Technician

Department: Property Management
Location: St. Paul, MN

Are you a maintenance professional looking for an opportunity with a growing organization? We are searching for candidates with varying skill levels to join The Community Builders, Inc. Founded in 1964, TCB currently owns/manages 12,000+ units of rental housing across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. We have been granted the exciting opportunity of taking on 3,500 units across 50 properties in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.

Here's what we are looking for

Service Maintenance Technicians and Porters (experience varying based on technician level)

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade school 1-5 years of progressive responsibility in property management. Experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of advanced hands-on repair experience in three or more building trades
  • REAC/HQS experience preferred
  • Industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC, ETC) preferred

Service Maintenance Managers

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of multi-family type operational management experience, preferably with a comparable role in multi-family experience
  • Experience in training, budget development and managing expenses; bid and managing vendors, service and general building contractors are essential skills.
  • One or more industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC, ETC) required.
  • Willingness to get any required certification(s) within 6 months of hiring to meet any specific site/area needs.
  • Knowledge of all hand and power tools, cleaning supplies, and protective equipment.
